Quiverse Writers Competition Requirements

Prize: 

  • $50 Visa gift card
  • Publication – your story will be used as an audible story for Quiverse subscribers, and you will be given creative credit published on our website and social media
  • You will have the right to use Quiverse as a source of publication to promote your work – affiliation credit 
  • Excerpts or quotes from stories may be used for social media marketing and other commercial purposes by Quiverse with full creative credit given to you 

Eligibility Criteria entrants: 

  • We welcome entries from Australian writers living in Australia who are 18 years of age or older (proof will be required prior to publication due to content restrictions)
  • Must be following Quiverse on Instagram or Facebook

Content: 

  • Entries must be a single story 3,000 – 4,000 words
  • Stories must be written in English  
  • When read aloud, the story should be approximately 20-25 mins long. 
  • Multiple entries permitted with unique stories
  • Entries must be original works written by an individual author 
  • Entries must not infringe on anyone’s copyright 

Characters

  • MFC – Female focused – real and relatable female lead, we want our audience to be able to imagine themselves in the scene. 
  • MMC – Distinguishing characteristic – celebrate the diversity of men that women are attracted to. We want him to adore our MFC in his own unique way. Our readers should feel safe and excited by the actions taken by the MFC. 
  • Sex is an inherent part of the story. The story should engage the listeners imagination to assist them to connect with their sexual body and allow them to play along if so desired. The story should ignite their desire, build the tension and culminate in a satisfactory ending for the MFC.  
  • No rape, non-consensual sexual acts, violence, drugs or content involving minors.

  • Entries should be text documents (Word, Open Office, PDF, Pages etc) 
  • Email entries must include author’s name, and contact details (at a minimum an email address)

Introduction

Quiverse Writers Competition is seeking erotic stories written from a female perspective for a monthly subscription, to be recorded as audible stories.

 

What’s involved

This is a storytelling tournament where writers are invited to submit their best female-centred erotic stories to be turned into audio stories. Contestants’ stories will be evaluated based on specific criteria, and the winning entry will be recorded for inclusion in a monthly subscription for Quiverse customers.

The Promoter reserves the right to:

  1. Amend the contesting period at its absolute discretion including to close the competition within the Competition Period.
  2. Terminate the competition subject to any direction from a regulatory authority.

Entry Restrictions

  1. Entrants must be 18 years of age or over at the time of entry (proof will be required prior to publication due to content restrictions).
  2. Entrants must be following Quiverse on either Instagram or Facebook or both.
  3. Promotions are not open to any person, including Australian residents, entering the competition from outside of Australia.
  4. Entrants acknowledge that they must be contactable by the Promoter to be successful. Entrants unable to be contacted in accordance with these terms for any reason will forfeit their prize / opportunity.
  5. Entrants who provide incorrect, misleading, or fraudulent information are ineligible in the promotion and all entries of an entrant who is deemed by the Promoter to have provided incorrect or misleading information may, at the discretion of the Promoter, be deemed invalid. 
  6. Entrants may be required to sign an agreement (including relevant release(s), waiver(s), and identity(ies) with the Promoter to participate in the prize.

How to enter

During the competition period:

  1. Members of the Australian public will be invited via social media, writing groups and other mediums to be decided by the Promoter, to visit the Quiverse website and complete the online entry form, including      providing their contact details and other information required in the entry form, or submit their entry via email. 
  2. Each entry submitted in the above specified competition period will be individually reviewed by representatives of the Promoter.

Limitations on entries

Entrants may submit unlimited unique entries. Each entry must be a new and original story.


Multiple entries of the same story will be automatically void by the Promoter and will be removed or deleted prior to the final draw or judging being conducted.

Entry Criteria 

  1. Entries must be original works written by an individual author. 
  2. Entries must not infringe on anyone’s copyright.
  3. Entries must be a single story of 3,000 – 4,000 words.
  4. Entries must be written in English. 
  5. Entries must not include references to rape, non-consensual sexual acts, violence, depicting drug use (except alcohol) or content involving minors.

Judging Criteria

After the close of entries, each valid entry will be individually judged based on the below criteria.


The Promoter’s representatives will select one winning entry that they believe, based on valid registrations received:

  1. Meet the entry restrictions and criteria.
  2. Are suitable for the promotion in the Promoter’s absolute discretion.

To be awarded the Prize.

  1. The Promoter may contact entrants to ask further questions about their entry. If entrants receive a call, this does not mean that they are deemed winner.

The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

Prize Details

There is one prize to be won for one winner. Each winner will win, subject to compliance with these terms, one (1) prize each comprising the following:

  1. $50 Visa gift card
  2. Use of the eligible winning entry as an audible story published to Quiverse subscribers including full creative credit to the winner.
  3. Right to use affiliation with Quiverse as a source of publication and title of “Quiverse Writer” for winner’s own self-promotion subject to these terms and conditions
  4. Promotion on Quiverse social media marketing and website as a “Quiverse Writer”, including the use of excerpts or quotes from entry on social media marketing and other commercial purposes. 
  5. This prize and the permission to use the title “Quiverse Writer” does not constitute an offer of or infer a contract of employment with/by Quiverse Pty Ltd and is subject to these terms and conditions

Winner Notification

Winners will be notified: 

  • Via telephone; and/or
  • Via email.
  • Published on the Quiverse website.
  • Announced via Quiverse social media.

Publication Details

  1. Prize winning entry will be published on the Quiverse website as audio stories available to Quiverse subscribers only. 
  2. May be used in full or in part in promotions, marketing and for other commercial uses resulting in publication on social media and other platforms by Quiverse.

Prize Claim and Delivery

Winners may be required to prove their identity and age, and show evidence as documented on their birth certificate, driver’s licence or passport before any prize is awarded.


Winners may also be required to provide any documentation which the Promoter and/or the Promoter’s insurer reasonably requests for the purposes of prize redemption. 


Any unclaimed prizes will be allocated to the next-best entrant as deemed by the Promoter.


The Promoter will not be liable for prizes that are damaged or lost in the mail and/or not delivered to the winner due to external circumstances outside of the Promoter’s control. No compensation or replacement prizes will be offered. 


The prize/s may be provided to the prize winner/s by the prize provider and can be delivered to the winners’ residential address via mail or delivered via email.

Prize Claim Date and Time

Due to the nature of the Prize, winners must respond to the Promoter’s notification and accept the Prize within 48 hours, otherwise the winner may forfeit the prize, and the Promoter may select an alternative Entrant to be a winner based on the Judging Criteria.

Special Conditions

General

The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the award of any prize or the pronouncement of a winner or winners (as applicable).


Prizes awarded are subject to availability and are at the complete discretion of the Promoter. 


Should any elements of the prize be changed, moved, cancelled or not available for any unforeseen reason or for reasons outside of the Promoter’s control (including for example COVID-19), the Promoter takes no responsibility, and the Prize Winners will not be compensated. 


Prior to acceptance of any prize, the Promoter may require the winner to sign documents including a prize acceptance form, consent to broadcast, publish and perform (such as an image or footage release), liability or publicity waiver or indemnity form. Any winner that fails to sign any required documentation as requested by the Promoter may be disqualified from the promotion.


Should there be any technical malfunctions for any reason, the Promoter has the option to extend the time period for competitions and/or change the specified day. The Promoter will then stipulate on their website the new end time of the competition. Where applicable, contestants may at the absolute discretion of the Promoter be awarded the prize offline.


Information collected

The Entrant acknowledges and agrees that their personal information will be collected for the purpose of administering the competition and arranging for the prize to be provided to the winning Entrants, and otherwise in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy statement at www.quiverse.com.au.


Contesting dates

Contesting dates for prize giveaways is at the absolute discretion of the Promoter. Should for any reason the contesting dates need to change (for example, due to technical difficulties with equipment or any changes to prize availability) the Promoter will communicate the date change via their website and/or on social media. The Promoter also has the option to extend the existing contesting day should it be required for any reason. 


Promoter’s right to request further information

The Promoter, in its sole and absolute discretion, may request for more information with respect to an entry. Contact by the Promoter does not mean that the entry is deemed the winner.


Promoter’s right to exclude any entrant

The Promoter reserves the right to exclude any entrant in its absolute discretion, including should it deem an entrant to be unsuitable for participation in the promotion. 


Written/Photos/Videos/Audio submissions and other material submitted as part of Entry

By entering this competition, Entrants agree that Aal photos, videos or other material submitted as part of their entry:

  • Do not contain images or copyright materials of anyone else unless they have the express consent of that person(s).
  • Do not contain personal information of any third party unless that party has expressly consented to such information being provided to the Promoter for the purpose of this Promotion.
  • Do not contain anything which is (as determined by the Promoter in its discretion) defamatory or discriminatory.

For the avoidance of doubt, the Promoter reserves the right to invalidate any entry which does not meet the criteria above.


Materials submitted as part of Entry

  1. Entrants agree that they are fully responsible for any materials they submit via the Promotion including but not limited to comments, videos, and photographs (“Content”). The Promoter shall not be liable in any way for such Content to the full extent permitted by law.
    Entrants warrant and agree that:
    1. they will not submit any Content that is unlawful
      or fraudulent, or in breach of any intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights, defamatory, obscene, derogatory, violent, abusive, harassing, threatening, objectionable with respect to race, religion, origin, or gender, or otherwise unsuitable for publication.
    2. their Content shall not contain viruses or cause injury or harm to any person or entity.
    3. they will obtain prior consent from any person or from the owner(s) of any property or any third-party personal information that appears in their Content.
    4. they are the owner of copyright in the Content, or they have obtained full prior consent from any person who has jointly created or has any rights in the Content, and the Content does not infringe the rights of any third party.
    5. they consent to any use of the Content which may otherwise infringe the Content creator’s/creators’ moral rights pursuant to the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth) and warrant that they have the full authority to grant these rights; and
    6. they will comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including without limitation, those governing copyright, content, defamation, privacy, publicity and the access or use of others’ computer or communication systems.
  2. Consent to further contact by the Promoter
    By entering this Promotion you agree that the Promoter or its related entities can contact you for future promotions.

The Promoter will only collect and use your details in accordance with its Privacy Policy at www.quiverse.com.au 

Consent to broadcast and publish (including online) participation in contest
By entering this competition, Entrants grant to the Promoter a perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty free licence to use their name, image, voice, likeness, biographic information, entry materials (including any video or audio content submitted by the Entrant) or any other material that identifies them, including any photographic, visual or sound recordings of the same (collectively, Recordings), for the purposes of conducting the Promotion and for marketing and promotional purposes. This licence includes any social media material published in accordance with the Promotion.

Indemnity

Contestants indemnify the Promoter and its related entities against any claim, action, proceeding, loss, or expense arising out of any liability for claims by a third party, or any claims they may have, caused by or in connection with their participation in the Competition or the acceptance of any prize. The Promoter has no ongoing liability to the entrant or their nominated person, for any reason whatsoever.

Facebook/Instagram

The Promoter reserves the right to solicit for entrants on Facebook and Instagram and invite them to register for the Promotion.

When entering this Promotion, you agree to release Facebook and Instagram from all liability and claims arising out of or in connection with the Promotion or these terms and conditions.

You acknowledge and agree that your entry must be in accordance with Facebook and Instagram’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities and can be removed at any time by the Promoter or otherwise in accordance with Facebook and Instagram’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities.

The Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook and Instagram. Any questions, comments, or complaints regarding the Promotion should be directed to the Promoter.

When entering the Promotion, you are providing your information to the Promoter and not to Facebook and Instagram.

Costs associated with accessing the Facebook and Instagram pages or accounts remain an Entrant’s responsibility and may vary depending on the internet service or telecommunications provider used.

Use of the term “Quiverse Writer” and Affiliation with Quiverse

Quiverse reserves the right to revoke permission for the winner to use the term “Quiverse Writer” or promote their affiliation with Quiverse in circumstances where the ongoing or continued use of the term or affiliation would bring harm, cause loss or otherwise bring into disrepute Quiverse Pty Ltd and at the Promoters sole discretion. This permission can be revoked at any time and without notice to the entrant.

The ”Quiverse Writer” agrees not to engage in any act that is intended, or may reasonably be expected to harm the reputation, business, prospects, or operations of Quiverse Pty Ltd, its officers, directors, customers, stockholders, or employees. Quiverse Pty Ltd agrees that it will engage in no act, which is intended, or may reasonably be expected to harm the reputation, business, or prospects of the “Quiverse Writer”.
